Andy Bone and Mariette Jackson formed JacksonBone in 2003. Based in Brighton, we offer a comprehensive publishing service both locally and nationally.
Andy Bone
Prior to forming JacksonBone Andy was employed as Design Director at Fitch:London. During his 12 years with this brand communications specialist he worked on many prestigious accounts – including AMEC plc, BBC World Service, Department for Education and Skills, Department for Work and Pensions, Enterprise Oil plc, Hilton Group plc and Prudential plc. He is involved in all aspects of the design process, from producing and presenting initial concepts to art directing and overseeing the project on press/online.
Mariette Jackson
Mariette started her publishing career in the production departments of Thames & Hudson and Collins Publishers (now HarperCollins). She then joined Broadcasting Support Services (BSS), an educational charity providing follow-up services to viewers and listeners of TV and radio where she worked for 12 years. As publishing coordinator she oversaw the design and printing of programme-related booklets, as well as undertaking picture research and some in-house design. She also managed the publishing department for five years. Since leaving BSS in 1998 she has focused on editorial projects and web development, including the increasingly popular WordPress content management/blogging system (which was used to build this site).
Why JacksonBone?
We believe JacksonBone can offer you the service you require because we are:
Small
As a core team of two we are involved with all aspects of a project, from the strategic direction through creative expression to the end delivery. This means that we remain close to the client, and never lose sight of the project’s aims.
Comprehensive
We have established good working relationships with a variety of trusted suppliers – including writers, editors, photographers, illustrators, printers and other freelance support – so we can ensure the highest quality service for every element of your project.
Flexible
Although we have our own systems to ensure a project is delivered on time and on budget, we are happy to adapt the way we work to accommodate the requirements of our clients.
Informal
We believe that developing a strong rapport and friendly working relationship with our clients and suppliers helps to deliver a job with which everyone is happy.
Organised
We are experienced in managing every aspect of the production process, from liaising with clients, to commissioning and monitoring suppliers, to establishing and controlling budgets and schedules. We find it useful to keep full and accurate records of a project’s progress – both for our benefit and for that of our clients.
Cost effective
We are able to pass on the reduction in overheads from which a small company working outside London benefits.
